Influencer Life in Full Swing
I can honestly say that this has been one of the busiest months I’ve ever had. I was all go all the time. It felt like I never had a chance to catch my breath! On one hand, that’s great because it means I’m out there doing my thing. On the other hand, I got really tired. I’ll be honest, balancing my influencer life, my mommy life, and my personal life is something I’m still trying to figure out. This month, the influencer part of my life definitely tipped the scales, but I still made sure to get in some awesome mommy/daughter/hubby time.
Back to School Segment on Las Vegas Now
As you all know, I do segments for Las Vegas Now quite frequently. This month, I did one on back to school supplies for kids and moms. As always, I had a lot of fun talking with host, Mercedes, talking about my picks and chatting backstage with Jenevieve from Pediped Footwear, a line I featured on the show. It was a joy to see everyone on the set and talk about some super fun options for back to school.
I want to give a big thank you to Amazing Lash Studio: Woodland Hills! They did my lashes for the segment, and they also do them for all my other TV segments, red carpet events, and appearances. I can’t say enough about them and the amazing work they do!
Las Vegas Now Featured Back to School Items
Now I have to tell you a little about what I featured. I’ll keep it brief because this is a recap, but everything is so cute, you need to know!
One of my favorite shoe lines for kids is Pediped Footwear. I showcased several super cute picks for back to school this year for both boys and girls. What I love about this company is that not only do they focus on fashionable, cute shoes, but they also put a big focus on foot health. These shoes actually help our little ones to walk and encourage them to make strides in a healthy way, comforting their feet in each stage of their development.
Their shoes are designed in three stages to grow with kids as their feet grow – Originals, Grip N Go, and Flex N Go. Amelia is still in Originals, and I see a huge difference with her walking since she’s been wearing them.
Up next are goldno.8 backpacks. These backpacks are so chic, they’re almost a fashion statement! I brought the silver and black backpack to showcase on the show, but goldno.8 carries a wide variety of backpacks to choose from. What makes these so much fun is that they’re reversible, so mom can have one side and her child can have the other.
Formawell Beauty x Kendall Jenner
For moms, I showcased the Formawell Beauty x Kendall Jenner Flat Iron and Paddle Brush. Both of these are perfect for keeping moms looking fab all year long, but especially during the school year when they have to be seen by all the other moms. LOL
LV Mobile Beauty
I also featured LV Mobile Beauty. This Las Vegas company is a traveling beauty service that focuses on hairstyling, updo’s, makeup, eyelashes, and more. I love this company, and I think it’s a perfect way for moms to treat themselves during the craziness of back to school time.
italk Events Made the Influencer Life Mean So Much More
One of the things I was so proud of this month was speaking at italk on my birthday. I was one of several speakers and performers at the event. The lineup included me, Chanel West Coast, Sean Stone, Frank Knuckles, Dozie Mbonu, and DJ Casper.
Influencer life can sometimes feel superficial. Don’t get me wrong. I love what I do, and I love my fashion and beauty focus. However, at times, it seems like people only know me for that. When I spoke at italk, I was able to reveal so much more of myself, and hopefully help other moms in the process.
At this event, founded by team members, Jen Montage, DJ Casper, and Sam, I talked about my motherhood experience. My real motherhood experience. I shared my journey through giving birth, post-partum depression, where I am now, and how I got here. It was the most vulnerable public speaking engagement I have ever done. And it was on my birthday. That has to mean something, right?
As a birthday surprise, Chanel West Coast serenaded me which was an event in itself. It was so exciting! They brought out a cake for me created by the one and only Samantha Cake n Bakes. It was so beautiful and sooo good. Olivia Perez got me all glammed up to the hilt, I showed off my amazing dress by Ooh La Luxe, and my girl, Terra Newell came out to celebrate me, too. My bubs, Justin Jacaruso, was even there! It was such a magical event. I felt so special and so loved. It really was a Red Carpet way to kick off my birthday.
Birthday Massage at Home by Zeel
As I always say, mamas need to take care of themselves. My month was so wild, I felt like I really deserved a good massage to help relax me, and Zeel delivered. Literally. They came to my house.
I’ve told you all before how much I love Zeel, and nothing has changed. I’m obsessed with them! They gave me one of the most relaxing massages I’ve ever had, and it was even better because baby girl was napping. I could feel the stress melting away, and I really needed it! They bring the table and all the supplies. They do everything. All you have to do is relax!
Cosmoprof Trade Show – The Influencer Life Continues
Like I said, July was crazy, and that theme kept going because I worked at Cosmoprof in addition to everything else I was doing! Cosmoprof is so much fun for beauty lovers, but its exhausting as well, if you’re working there. I was there with my dad on the floor, helping him at his booth. We had so much fun together! The hours were long, but being there with my dad was so wonderful. Plus, the energy of the show is just amazing. It’s so electric and filled with this low buzz of the crowd at all times. Super fun.
While I was at Cosmoprof, I also had the chance to meet tons of brands and talk influencer marketing and how the influencer life could help them reach more people. I was also able to attend Unfiltered, as well, so it was a lot of fun!
We stayed at Mandalay Bay during the trade show, so Amelia Rei was able to have some resting, some exploring fun & stay on her nap schedule which is needed for her to be the happy girl she is!
It let my mom bond with Amelia too and it was special to have my mom watch her! It truly takes a village!
Balancing Influencer Life and Personal Life
Although this month was a whirlwind, I managed to balance my influencer life with my personal life, at least a little. During Cosmoprof, we were able to get in some family time at the pool at Mandalay Bay. We all had a wonderful time splashing away in the pool. Mom and Dad were especially glad to be able to have some fun with my daughter. Out of everything I did, these were my favorite moments of the entire month.
The Influencer Life Can Get so Hectic
This month is a perfect example of how hectic and taxing influencer life can be. Although I wouldn’t change it for anything, sometimes it’s a lot! I had so much fun this month, even if I did spend the entire time on the go, go, go. I’m so glad to finally be able to share it with all of you! This was only part of what was going on for me in July. Check out my Instagram to see even more!
